Recalls/Holds

What is a recall?

Users who need material that is currently charged out can place a hold or recall against the item. A recall is to be used in cases where the item will not be returned in a reasonable amount of time (2-3 weeks).

How to place a recall/hold?

Online: following instructions below for Recalls/Holds

1. Search for item in Killam Library Catalog.
2. Click on "Requests" at the bottom of the page.
3. You will be taken to the account login screen.
4. Type in your TAMIU ID No. and last name.
